The College’s Board of Directors met on June 19, 2025, with strong participation from Directors attending in person and virtually. Ms. Victoria Totten, Director of Integrity and Risk Policy, Migration Integrity Sector at Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC), joined the meeting as the Ministerial Observer, in accordance with section 76 of the College Act.
The Board of Directors approved the following items:
- Amendments to the Licensee Competency Framework
The Board endorsed updates to the Licensee Competency Framework following a comprehensive study conducted by the College. The study included meaningful engagement with a representative cross-section of licensees to ensure the framework remains current, relevant, and reflective of professional standards.
- Approval of the 2026 Fiscal Budget
The Board approved the budget for fiscal year 2026. The budget aligns with the College’s Strategic Plan and directs resources toward priority initiatives that support the College’s mandate and organizational goals.
- Draft By-Laws Approved for Submission
The Board approved several draft by-laws related to licensees for submission to the Department of Justice for review.
Additional matters reviewed by the Board included:
- Progress update on the Strategic Plan 2023-2026 objectives.
- A discussion on the continued development of College By-Laws.
- Review of the Financial Results for Period ended March 31, 2025.
