Prince Edward Island’s (PEI's) new Temporary Foreign Worker Protection Act comes into force on April 1, 2025.
College licensees who want to apply for a recruiter licence in PEI can do so from April 1 at www.princeedwardisland.ca/TFWP where detailed information about the Act can also be found.
A grace period will be in effect until July 1, 2025, during which individuals can continue providing recruitment services without a licence.
Anyone providing foreign national recruitment services for PEI employers without a licence after July 1, 2025, will be considered in violation of the Act.
