The College’s 2024 Annual General Meeting

The College of Immigration and Citizenship Consultants held the 2024 Annual General Meeting (AGM) of College licensees on December 5, 2024, in the City of Laval, Quebec. The meeting was conducted in a hybrid format, combining in-person and virtual participation, to accommodate all licensees who wished to attend. The AGM was attended in-person by more than 250 licensees (RCICs and RISIAs) in good standing, with an additional 970 taking part online.

The AGM began with a video greeting from the Honourable Marc Miller, Minister of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship. This message underscored the Canadian Government’s support of the College’s goals to elevate professional standards, combat unauthorized practitioners and the recent, successful multilingual fraud prevention campaign to raise public awareness. The Minister, on behalf of the Canadian Government, thanked the College for its efforts in protecting potential newcomers and the public interest and continued collaboration.

During the AGM, licensees were provided with a comprehensive overview of the College's activities throughout 2024. This included detailed updates on various initiatives, achievements, and challenges faced by the College.

Licensees were given the opportunity to submit questions that were answered during a Q & A session.

The College thanks all licensees who took part in the AGM.
