Reminder: Licensee Feedback Needed on Proposed College Act Regulations

Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has released the proposed College Act Regulations for public comment.

The draft regulations, together with IRCC’s regulatory impact analysis statement, can be found here: Canada Gazette, Part 1, Volume 158, Number 51: College of Immigration and Citizenship Consultants Regulations

The College Act Regulations have been in development since the College’s continuance from the Immigration Consultants of Canada Regulatory Council (ICCRC) in 2021. The Regulations will impact the way your profession is regulated, and it is therefore critical that you are familiar with the changes and have your say.

Individuals may submit comments directly to IRCC in accordance with the instructions included in the notice accompanying the draft Regulations. Please note that comments must be received by IRCC within 45 days of the date of publication of the notice – or by February 4, 2025.

A recording of information sessions conducted by the College for licensees in English and French is posted here and will remain there until February 4, 2025.
