Laura Halbert
Director, Professional Conduct
Laura has over 25 years of regulatory experience with the consumer protection ministry and as the Deputy Registrar of the motor vehicle dealer regulator in Ontario. She joined the College in 2022 as Manager of Intake and Resolutions and oversaw process changes which resulted in decreased backlogs, practice improvements for licensees and more timely outcomes for complainants. She is known for leading highly successful teams focused on fair and proportionate outcomes in the public interest. She is well respected in the regulatory sector as someone who is pragmatic and results oriented.
As Director, Professional Conduct Laura is responsible for overseeing the operations related to receipt of complaints, investigations, mediations, legal proceedings, Tribunal operations and compliance monitoring arising from breaches of the Code of Professional Conduct.
