Board of Directors Meeting Highlights - March 26, 2026

The College's Board of Directors convened on March 26, 2026, with strong participation from Directors attending in person and virtually. Mr. Peter Christensen, Assistant Director, Integrity Policy & Programs from Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) attended the meeting as Ministerial Observer pursuant to s.76 of the College Act.  

The Board of Directors approved the following item of interest to licensees: 

  • Proposed Appointment to Tribunal Committee
    The Board approved the appointment of a new member to the Tribunal Committee.

Additional matters reviewed by the Board included:

  • Regulatory and Legislative Transition: Ongoing development of new regulations under the College Act and continued progress in by-law development and oversight within the regulatory framework.
  • CEO and Strategic Report: The report highlighted progress across the four strategic pillars—Professional Standards, Unauthorized Practitioners, Stakeholder Communication, and Sustainability.
  • Fraud Prevention and Outreach: Activities included the Fraud Prevention Month campaign, expanded national and international outreach initiatives, and ongoing management of online sentiment and reputation.
  • Financial Review: The Board examined the financial results for the period ended December 31, 2025, and discussed the ongoing development of the Compensation Fund.
