Engaging with College Stakeholders

College staff attended the 27th Metropolis Canada Conference in Toronto, Ontario.

We continue to promote the College’s role as a professional regulator and strengthen engagement with licensees and stakeholders through strategic government relations and our presence at key events.

Earlier this month, College President & CEO John Murray met with Hon. Muhammad Yaseen, M.L.A., Alberta’s Minister of Immigration and Multiculturalism. Mr. Murray spoke with the Minister about the College’s role in protecting the public interest and raising awareness about fraud prevention.

The College participated in the 27th Metropolis Canada Conference in Toronto on March 13-14. The event brought together the country’s largest gathering of immigration stakeholders, and the College provided delegates with information about our regulatory framework and our multilingual, global 2025 Fraud Prevention campaign.

In May, College staff will attend the 2025 National Citizenship and Immigration Conference. The College’s booth will provide opportunities to continue discussions around the College’s role, the role of licensees, fraud prevention and unauthorized practitioners (UAPs).
