What to Expect at the College’s 2025 Annual General Meeting

 

About the Annual General Meeting (AGM)


The AGM is an opportunity to reflect on the College’s progress over the past year, encourage informed participation among licensees and provide clear and transparent updates on operations, finance and governance.

In-person and online registration for the 2025 AGM is now closed.

Every licensee who is eligible to attend the AGM will have the opportunity to do so, either in person or virtually via a secure Zoom link. Please note that the AGM will not be recorded.

How to register:
Registration to attend in person closed on November 7, 2025, at 5 pm. Online registration closed on November 21, 2025, at 11:59 pm ET.

Licensees in good standing as of October 27, 2025, were eligible to register to attend the AGM. 

How to cancel your registration:
Should you be unable to attend in person after registering, please be sure to cancel by November 21, 2025.

When and where will the 2025 AGM be held?
Date: Thursday, November 27, 2025
Time: 1:30 pm MT
Place: The Calgary TELUS Convention Centre

What is the schedule for the day?

  • 1:30-3 pm: Formal AGM proceedings. To view the full AGM agenda, click here.
  • 3:45-4:45 pm: Licensee Education Session (Open to all in person attendees. The session will count towards Continuing Professional Development (CPD) hours. Licensees must attend the full session for CPD credit - attendance will be taken).
  • 4:45-6 pm: Meet the Board of Directors Reception (Open to all in person attendees).

Who can attend?
Every licensee who is eligible to attend the AGM will have the opportunity to do so, either in person or virtually via a secure Zoom link. Licensees in good standing on October 27, 2025, are eligible to attend (in person or online) or vote. To check your status, please search the Public Register.

What will be covered at the AGM?

  • Video greetings from Lena Metlege Diab, Minister of IRCC, will be shared.
  • The Corporate Secretary will present the Scrutineer’s Report and audience voting procedure.
  • Licensees will vote on the following items: 2025 AGM agenda, minutes from the College 2024 AGM and termination of meeting. All voting will be done on cell phones, so licensees are asked to bring their devices.
  • The College's Chairperson of the Board of Directors will deliver remarks.
  • The College's Independently Audited Financial Statements from the 2025 Annual Report will be presented.
  • The Transitional Board of Directors will be introduced.
  • Q&A Session with the Chairperson of the Board of Directors.

How to submit an advance question for the Q&A session:
The College is committed to an open and inclusive AGM that allows for constructive dialogue, while ensuring an orderly and accessible meeting for all attendees.

A Q&A Session will be held during the AGM. Questions must be submitted in advance of the AGM by November 21, 2025, at 5 pm ET to secretariat@college-ic.ca. You do not need to attend the AGM in person to submit a question.

Our goal is to answer as many questions as possible and facilitate a respectful, informative and transparent discussion. Following the AGM, a summary of the Q&A Session will be shared in the Bulletin.
