Outreach Events – May 2024

College staff attended the Salon de l’immigration et de l’intégration in Montréal, Québec, in May as part of our outreach activities. The event welcomed more than 13,000 guests in search of settlement support, education and employment opportunities.

Before the event, Immigrant Québec profiled College President & CEO, John Murray. The article can be read here: https://salonimmigration.com/entrevues/entrevue-avec-john-murray/ (in French only)

Also in May, the College was pleased to sponsor and attend the 2024 National Citizenship and Immigration Conference (NCIC) in Halifax, Nova Scotia.

NCIC is hosted by the Canadian Association of Professional Immigration Consultants (CAPIC). College President & CEO, John Murray, delivered a presentation on ‘LMIA: Recruitment and Ethics,’ with RCIC Peter Veress.

While in Halifax, Mr. Murray also met with staff from Nova Scotia’s Ministry of Labour, Skills, and Immigration to share the College’s important role in protecting the public.

Hosted by the Canadian Bureau for International Education (CBIE), the event focused on charting a path forward for the Canadian international education sector and its support to international students.
