2025 Session Announcements for the New-Licensee Mentoring Program

The next session of the New-Licensee Mentoring Program is scheduled to begin in March 2025.

The New-Licensee Mentoring Program is mandatory for Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultants (RCICs) who received their Letter of Authority on or after July 1, 2022. The program supports the development of the knowledge, values and ethics required to practise with professional competence.

Mentor applications will open in October 2024. Eligible RCICs in good standing with the College will be invited to apply to join the program as mentors. Mentors play a vital role in the program by guiding new licensees through hands-on practice and contributing to raising standards across the profession. Mentors also benefit from enhanced leadership skills, Continuing Professional Development (CPD) hours and a stipend.

Mentee registration will begin in December 2024. RCICs required to participate as mentees in the first 2025 session will receive an email with registration instructions. Licensees should register for the program promptly and have a maximum of 2 attempts to complete the program. Failure to complete the program within the 2 enrolment opportunities offered could result in licence suspension or revocation.
