College Secures Reduced Professional Liability Insurance Premium for Licensees

The College has negotiated a reduction in the Professional Liability Insurance premium for licensees for the third year in a row.

For 2024/2025, the premium is $188, down from $197 last year. Previously, the premium was reduced from $265 to $245 in 2022/2023. The cost of coverage is reviewed annually based on claims data and is not guaranteed to decrease.

For the protection of the public, all licensees must maintain Professional Liability Insurance.

RISIAs can provide proof of Professional Liability Insurance issued to their current employer. For RCICs, participation in the College’s Professional Liability Insurance program is mandatory. This includes those covered by a current employer or another group plan, as well as those on leave of absence or not actively practising.
