Strengthening Professional Practice Through Mentoring

The College’s New-Licensee Mentoring Program continues to support early-career licensees in building competence and ethical practice through guided practical experience with real-world case scenarios.

For many mentees, transitioning from formal education into professional practice means navigating the complexities of Canada’s immigration and citizenship requirements, managing client needs and applying sound judgement.

Over the years, the program has received positive feedback from licensees. Participants value the collaboration, sharing and networking available through the program’s small group format.

Mentee licensees have shared that the program helped them feel more confident in their abilities to approach client matters with clarity. Mentors have described their experiences and the opportunity to contribute to professional standards as rewarding.

In the coming weeks, eligible licensees will be invited to apply to participate as mentors for the next session scheduled for October 27, 2026, to March 28, 2027. The College encourages licensees who receive an invitation to apply before the deadline.

Licensees required to register for the upcoming session as mentees will receive an email with registration instructions in July 2026. Mentees are expected to complete all registration steps by their deadlines to access the mentoring platform and to avoid program penalties.
