How will this role support our team?

The incumbent is responsible for developing the creative strategy and implementation of communications products for the College.


Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to)

  • Develop the creative strategy and lead projects related to print and digital design products, including annual reports, strategic plans, public awareness campaigns and social media.
  • Collaborate with members of the Communications and Stakeholder Relations Department to distill business concepts and needs into creative, impactful solutions.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align communications products using consistent messaging, branding and visual identity.
  • Provide strategic guidance on how to optimize and simplify the user experience and design of the user interface on the College’s digital channels.
  • Supervise the work of outside agencies and/or freelancers for adherence to visual identity and brand standards.

This role will support our team by providing:

  • Project management skills to plan, evaluate and implement changes to systems and processes.
  • Understanding of the print production and pre-press process.
  • Knowledge of core design requirements (i.e. dimensions, colour, matching print process, layout).
  • Creativity and problem-solving skills to deliver on projects, meet client needs and maintain the integrity of the College brand.

Required Education and Experience

  • College Diploma or University Degree (Bachelor) in Communications, Graphic Design, Advertising, Marketing or a related discipline.
  • 7-10 years of progressive experience in strategic branding, graphic design, corporate communications or marketing communications.
